Welcome to Wild Little Whimsy’s new home! A new space dedicated to fostering whimsy, and creatively engaging with our children and our own inner children.
My name is Ebony, I'm a mum of three, living in the enchanting and picturesque southern isle of Tasmania, Australia. Since having my two younger children, I've rediscovered my love of creativity. I'm excited to share some ideas and activities with other parent and educator types and any wandering minds hungry for some creative nourishment.
My hope with this space is to offer inspiration for those who want to encourage and engage their children's, and their own, creativity, self expression and love of learning. I know firsthand how challenging it can be to balance the demands of parenting with the desire to provide engaging experiences for our children, whilst trying to avoid having to sell a kidney in to facilitate it. That's why I'm passionate about sharing a mix of environmentally and budget-friendly, accessible ideas to try at home.
In this space, I'll be focusing on a range of creative activities and ideas, including open-ended play, crafts, nature play, DIY activities, sensory and baby play, and preschool age ideas. Along with sharing some of our favourite resources and reviews. I like to keep things easy and simple, often using materials you likely already have on hand, can find in the back yard or out in nature.
If you're looking for inspiration for easy creative activities, crafts and ideas, you've come to the right place! I believe in encouraging and facilitating creativity and curiosity and I'm excited to share my ideas and experiences with you.
